- Thin circular plate of radius a and thickness h (thin-plate regime, a/h ≳ 20).
- Material
- Linear-elastic isotropic material, E and ν; flexural rigidity D = Eh³/[12(1−ν²)].
- Boundary conditions
- Clamped around the whole edge; uniform pressure q on the face.
- Measured quantity
- Central deflection against w = qa⁴/(64D); edge radial moment −qa²/8.
