BucklingIn development

Critical load of a slender column, closed-form solution

Source:
Euler buckling
Tolerance:
5%

Problem statement

Geometry
A slender straight column of length L; cross-section area and moment of inertia per the chosen profile.
Material
Linear-elastic isotropic material, Young's modulus E.
Boundary conditions
Pinned at both ends (or another scheme via the effective-length factor K).
Measured quantity
Critical buckling load Pcr = π²EI / (KL)² — compared against the eigenvalue-buckling run.

Script

Lands with the scripting engine (see Documentation) — this setup will be runnable from commands, no manual rebuild needed.

Results comparison

The solver core is still in development — there's no result yet. It'll appear here right after the first run, no retouching.
