- Thin rectangular plate a × b × h, thin-plate regime.
- Material
- Linear-elastic isotropic material, E and ν = 0.3; D = Eh³/[12(1−ν²)].
- Boundary conditions
- Simply supported on all four edges; uniform pressure q.
- Measured quantity
- Central deflection w = α·q·b⁴/D (b — short side), α from the a/b ratio (Navier series).
