WebCAE User Agreement
Last updated: August 10, 2026
This User Agreement sets the basic rules for using WebCAE. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.
The WebCAE service
WebCAE is a browser-based computer-aided engineering service for preparing models, running supported analyses, and reviewing results. The service is provided during Early Access and may change as the product develops.
Your account
- Provide information that is accurate and kept up to date.
- Keep your password and account access confidential and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without permission.
- You are responsible for activity performed through your account and for checking that your use of the service is appropriate for your project.
Your models and content
You keep your rights to CAD files, models, inputs and other content that you upload. You give WebCAE the limited permission needed to host, process, secure and display that content in order to provide the service and its requested features.
Only upload content that you own or are authorised to use. Do not upload confidential or personal data unless you have the right to do so and the service is suitable for that data.
Acceptable use
You must not:
- Use WebCAE unlawfully or to infringe another person's rights.
- Attempt to bypass access controls, probe the service for vulnerabilities, reverse engineer restricted components, or interfere with its operation.
- Upload malware, credentials, or content intended to damage the service or another user's data.
- Use results as a substitute for independent engineering review, testing, certification, or professional advice.
Engineering responsibility
WebCAE results are computational outputs and may contain errors, limitations or assumptions. You are responsible for reviewing inputs, units, mesh quality, boundary conditions and results, and for obtaining qualified engineering review before relying on them in a real product or safety-critical decision. WebCAE does not certify a design or guarantee that a model is fit for a particular purpose.
WebCAE intellectual property
WebCAE, its software, interface, documentation, visual identity and other materials remain owned by WebCAE or its licensors. These terms give you a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use the service while your account is permitted to access it.
Availability and changes
We may add, change, suspend or discontinue features, including Early Access features and usage limits. We may update this Agreement when the service or legal requirements change. The updated date above will show when the current version was published.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or restrict access when necessary to protect the service, investigate abuse, comply with the law, or address a breach of these terms. You may stop using WebCAE at any time. Provisions that should reasonably continue after termination, including ownership, disclaimers and limitations, will continue to apply.
Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, WebCAE is provided on an as-is and as-available basis without a promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every purpose. Nothing in this Agreement excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
