Problem statement
- Geometry
- Deep (stocky) beam, simply supported, per the FV5 setup.
- Material
- E = 200 GPa, ν = 0.3, ρ = 8000 kg/m³.
- Boundary conditions
- Simple support: one end restrained in the transverse and rotational DOF, the other allowing axial motion.
- Measured quantity
- Lowest natural frequencies (flexural, torsional, extensional modes, including repeated eigenvalues).
Script
