Problem statement

Geometry
Use the gap-spring model with force history 0 -> 1500 -> 0 -> -200 -> 0 N.
Material
Constitutive or analytical definition: Piecewise Signorini solution; reversible elastic spring stores no residual energy.
Boundary conditions
Required solver capability: unilateral_contact. Use the loading/path control stated in the setup and preserve the complete response history.
Measured quantity
Contact activates once on loading, releases when reaction reaches zero, never carries tension, and returns to the initial zero-energy state.
