Problem statement

Geometry
Run smooth path tests with 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50, and 100 increments using tight Newton tolerance.
Material
Constitutive or analytical definition: Rate-independent exact solution depends on the path, not its time discretization, when event transitions are resolved consistently.
Boundary conditions
Required solver capability: incremental_nonlinear_driver. Use the loading/path control stated in the setup and preserve the complete response history.
Measured quantity
Hyperelastic final state is increment-independent to roundoff; linear-hardening J2 converges to the same exact piecewise path; iteration counts may change but accepted states may not drift.
